Continuum- The Beginning

This is the begining of this Blog, however, I think a little back ground is appropriate.  Mona and I sailed, on and off, through charter companies in the Caribbean (BVI, USVI, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenedines) for about 20 years.

In 2009 we sailed with Hank Schmit aboard his 47 Swan from Huntington Harbor, New York to Bermuda.
We sailed through New York City and past Ellis Island and the Stature of Liberty.  It was an amzing trip through blue waters to Bermuda and was what inspired us to own our own boat.

In February, 2009 it happened.  I found Continuum.  A 1998 40 ft., Caliber Long Range Cruiser. A custom made bluewater cruiser.  Hull #97.    She had been immaculately maintained.  It was love at first site.

The usual negotiations commenced and after a survey by Rob Eberly and hull out in Oriental, NC, she was ours.  This is our beginning.
